In this page we are publishing sources on the collection of classical antiquities in Hungary in the 18th-20th centuries. Our aim is to make accessible the pictorial, archival and written sources on Hungarian private collections and the works of art that constituted them. This interdisciplinary publication of sources may hopefully help us discover the dispersed material of the collections, and may also contribute to the reconstruction of the post-antique history of certain pieces. We plan to enlarge the database on a continuous basis; Antiquitas Hungarica is an editio minor continua making use of the possibilities offered by the digital era.
